Management Board

Soraya joined the Management Board as Chief Financial Officer on 1 May 2024. Her previous roles include President of Diageo Europe, CEO for BAT Eastern and Southern Africa region, and General Manager in BAT France.

James joined the Management Board as Director, Business Development on 1 September 2023. James has been with BAT since 1996, having joined as a Management Trainee and has taken various senior roles including Finance Director, BAT Middle East and most recently as Consumer Director, Wellbeing and Stimulation and Head of M&A.

Michael joined the BAT Management Board on 1 September 2020 in the role of Regional Director, Asia-Pacific and Middle East. He was previously Area Director for Asia-Pacific and Global Travel Retail. He became Regional Director, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa on 1 April 2023.

Zafar Khan became a member of the Management Board as Director, Operations, on 1 February 2021, having previously been Group Head of New Categories Operations.

Paul joined the Management Board as Director, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs on 1 September 2023. His previous roles include being Head of Marketing Legal and Assistant General Counsel Corporate and Group Company Secretary.

James assumed the role of Director, Research and Science, reporting to the Chief Executive, on 1 March 2023. James has been with the BAT Group for more than 17 years in various senior roles including, most recently, Executive Vice President, U.S. Scientific Research & Development.

David joined the Management Board as President and CEO of Reynolds American Inc. on 1 July 2023. His previous roles include being Area Director for Western Europe and Head of International Brand Group.
