British American Tobacco acquires UK e-cigarette company Ten Motives

British American Tobacco (BAT) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of Ten Motives, a UK based e-cigarette business with particular strength in traditional grocery and convenience channels.

Commenting on the acquisition, Kingsley Wheaton, BAT’s Managing Director of Next Generation Products, said:

“This is an exciting acquisition for British American Tobacco which further strengthens our UK Next Generation Products (NGP) business and complements our existing product portfolio. We are seriously committed to the NGP category, and this acquisition is another big step on our journey.”

Ten Motives supplies e-cigarettes to Tesco, Sainsbury's, WHSmith, The Co-op and directly to consumers through its two websites and six retail outlets.
