BAT's 2023 Half-Year Results demonstrate a resilient performance, with the company on track to meet its full-year guidance.
The HYR 23, published today, shows that Group revenue was up 2.6%* for the Half-Year ended 30 June 2023, with adjusted profit from operations rising by 3.6%*.
BAT’s New Category business continues its strong revenue growth (+27%) with 24 million consumers of non-combustible products – an increase of 1.5 million versus Full Year 2022.
Most importantly, BAT’s New Categories business is very close to breaking even and is on track to meet its profitability target in 2024.
In his Chief Executive’s statement, Tadeu Marroco said: “Having been in my new role for 10 weeks, I’m pleased with the resilient performance of BAT in the First Half of 2023 and the renewed sense of energy across the organisation.”
