In its fourth year, the competition is run in partnership with BAT’s corporate venture unit, Btomorrow Ventures (BTV) and aims to discover the brightest, early-career business minds around the globe.
This year the competition will again have an ESG focus as we search for the next entrepreneurs and innovators who can contribute to our journey towards A Better Tomorrow™.
The winner gets £50,000 to develop their idea and support from BAT while two runners-up each get £25,000 investment and the chance to join BAT as an intern or a global graduate.
Last year’s winners were Team Ijo, from Indonesia, who impressed the judges with their proposal to produce environmentally friendly, edible straws made of seaweed.
“Following last year’s success, I’m excited about some of the potential ideas and people we’ll find this time round,” said Geetha Raman, Group Head of Talent Acquisition at BAT. “Battle of Minds will again help us find innovative ESG solutions and provide a platform for these early career talents to shine.”
