BAT’s ongoing digital transformation has been recognised with a prestigious award for our Director of Digital and Information, Marina Bellini.
Marina won the CIONET European Digital Leaders award in the B2C (business to consumer) category, receiving the accolade in a virtual ceremony held last Wednesday, November 10.
Before the awards were announced, Marina and the other nominees shared their insights with over 1,000 registered ceremony attendees. Marina discussed how the Digital Business Solutions (DBS) function she runs is helping BAT to deliver A Better Tomorrow™ by boosting our e-commerce presence and helping to deliver our ESG strategy.
Marina said: “Winning this award is down to the efforts of brilliant people across DBS who focus every day on building A Better Tomorrow, leveraging tech, digital and data. It is also thanks to leaders across the whole of BAT and teams that are engaged and leading our digital transformation. Transforming is not a destination, but a journey, and it is great to see that the work we’re all doing at BAT and with our partners is being recognised by external stakeholders.”
This award marks the latest piece of external recognition for Marina. Last month, she was named among the Top 100 leaders in Technology by Technology magazine. This followed her being named as a finalist in the 14th Annual MIT Sloan CIO Leadership Awards.
Marina was also one of the senior BAT leaders appearing at our TIME (Technology Inspiring a Modern Enterprise) Automation summit. Hosted by BAT, the summit brought together some of the biggest names in technology to discuss how automation is changing our lives and freeing up people at BAT to focus on what matters – delivering our A Better Tomorrow™ transformation.
